How to install an Electric Hoist

An electric hoist is a great tool to use widely in our life. We are the specialized in manufacture various hoist, include electric and manual.
Installing the hoist in your garage is an easy process, Here are the steps to install an electric hoist in your garage.

Step 1: Where To Install

The biggest factor in installing your electric hoist is the actual location of it. You must distribute the strength evenly. A good place to install the electric hoist is in the middle of the system where you can span two or three trusses.

Step 2: Prepare Joists To Support

Install some 2x6 joists between the trusses so that they can add some load support. If you have an open ceiling in your garage, this will be very easy to do. If you have covered ceiling with sheetrock, you need to measure out the area and cut a hole that spans three trusses and is 2 feet wide. Cut the 2x6 joist to size and attach in between the trusses. You will have one on each side of a center truss. Secure with 3 inch wood screws.

Step 3: Cross Joist

Once you have the joists installed in between the truss beams, you can then cut two 2x6's to a two foot length and place along the side of the end trusses where you attached the joists. Use the screws to secure them.

Step 4: Attach Hoist to Joists

Use the mounting bracket that comes with the hoist and mark the holes for the bolts. The bracket will go on the outside of the joists, so you will drill straight through.

Step 5: Screw in Bolts

After you have marked the holes for the bolts, screw them in and secure them with bolts. 

Step 6: Install Electric Hoist

Now that the bracket is secure to the joists, you can then lift the hoist into position and secure it with the bolts that are supplied. Plug it into the nearest electrical outlet and make sure it works correctly.
